I travel both domestic and international with my drones regularly. I don’t but some people recommend putting electrical tape over the battery terminals in case of a short then causing a fire.
I just put everything in my camera bag. I’ve never been asked or questioned about any of my drone gear once at airport security anywhere.
Also let me be clear don’t put anything of significant value in your checked luggage. This should be a no brainer. A camera batttery and drone battery are no brainers to have in your hand luggage.
