Apologies to my Cornish viewers, but my latest clip is from a trip to Valley Of Rocks, Lynton, to film there for the first time in 5 years.

It's a stunning piece of coastline on the North Devon coast, with a naturally formed valley of jagged geography, made all the more beautiful by an on fire sky at sunset.

I hope you enjoy the short film.

Nice!

So pretty. Its been decades since I visited Devon. The last time was during Easter 1995 when my two kids and decided to sail our 36' motor yacht from Port Solent, Portsmouth to Torquay. That was quite an adventure; on our return journey, we faced extreme rough weather sailing across Lyme Bay, it was like 5 1/2hrs in a washing machine; we survived the ordeal.

Thanks for letting us see what you saw! Awesome vid, Mr. C! Loved the opening scene revealing the setting sun.

Thank you for the kind words. Sounds like a horrible journey you had, but glad you survived. Hopefully my video didn’t bring back too many bad sailing memories. Merry Christmas from the uk

Not quite; it was a great learning experience and helped me become a better and confident sailor, helped prepare me to face anything at sea. I subsequently sailed several times. solo, and with my kids to Cherbourg, Guernsey, Jersey, and further south to France. In 1997 I migrated to the USA and sold the boat end of that year.
