3 Vanishing river

Now there was a lot of water and some were able to pass the trap, but usually thi river ends here and reapears some 10 km away after 3 days underground

Is the "trap" the large pool around 1:39? Does the river emerge into the same water course as the above ground river?
is it known why the subterranean river takes 3 days to travel only 10km?

As far as I understood the whole mountain is a trap - hance name Ponor (old for vanisher) - last time I was there the river was ending near the tree at 1:20
