Thanks man ...no mention of military use in the bio but in the "pre 63" section , mentions numerous movies (stands to reason, being location it's in) made there 1920- mid1950's so that might explain the trenches , they dont seem to be where any drainage or water flow might be responsible & peaked my interest.
