Video Player Problem

Since about July 21, 2021 my drone videos can no longer be played with Windows Media Player on my computer. Videos recorded before July 21 play fine with Windows Media Player.
I can play the later videos with VLC. Did the video format change with a recent software update, or is this a settings issues.

What is the resolution of the videos, then vs now?

It may be a codec issue. Are you shooting your current videos in h.264 or 265?

You may have hit on the problem. It is set on h.265. I may have changed that recently, I'm not sure. When I try to use Windows Media Player I get the message "you need a new codec" HEVC Video Extensions.

I just changed it to h.264 and that has resolved the issue. Thank so much!

Wow! What a coincidence. We have not lived here long, only since 2014, after vacationing here may times. Love it.
