A newbie here. I have videos on my mavic pro 2 sd card that can't be copied/downloaded to my MacBook Air photo/video app. Tried opening videos from sd card using VLC , i can see the start of video like still photo but it's not playing however the position indicator is moving. Don't know what else to do. In my samsung smartphone i can play all mavic videos. Appreciate your help.

I assume you have a card reader attached to your MB Air? I ask because it sounds like you're trying to play the videos directly from the card. What you need to do is copy the files to your MB Air from the card to the notebook's hard drive and THEN open them with your photo/video app.

Tried several ways to download photos/videos. 1st detach sd card from drone, insert sd card to a card reader then attach reader to MBAir to download. Photo app pops up able to recognise photos but not videos, it says unsupported files. 2nd tried playing videos straight from drone with usb cable attached direct to MBAir same result. Nothing wrong with smartphone, i can download everything. Im running out of patience help :(

I guess that begs the question: What are your video settings in Go 4?

If it's a DJI drone you're using the DJI Go 4 app to fly it and change your camera settings.

I'm curious as to what the issue was.
I changed video size from 3840x2160 Full FOV to 1920x1080, video format MOV. I can now play video in VLC but not on Quicktime player. VLC is ok with me as long as it plays. I would prefer 3840x2160 Full FOV as i'm more into landscape video or photo plus video size is more dynamic. If i switch back to 3840x2160 Full FOV i just would like to know how i can make it play in my MacBook Air. Is there something i need to download like an app? Thanks for listening :)

How would i know what codec i'm using? Where can i find this? The only thing i can see in DJI GO4 app video color chosen is Dlog-M not sure if i'm right with that.
i'm reading online about h.265 codec, guess this is what i'm missing.
