I've had my Mavic for about a month now and have been a member here for that time also. I love watching everyones videos, seeing the pics and couldn't wait to get in on that. Well, I finally have something semi worthwhile to share... I downloaded Shotcut the other week and have been trying to learn how to use it. The backstory is I have a police/fire/emergency scanner in my truck, I was headed home from work the other day and heard that a vehicle had hit a rock at the 8 mile marker. I knew where that was and "hurried" up there, only slightly going over the speed limit. When I arrived all occupants were safely out of the vehicle, shaken up I'm sure, I talked to the officer on scene and asked if there was a wrecker headed out, yes he said, Cambria towing. I know a couple of the drivers and I mentioned that I had a drone and wanted to get some footage of the retrieval, cop said "Cool"..So, for your viewing pleasure, or not, lol, here is my edited down version of an interesting video, sorry for the lengthy text.

So when I originally tried to upload this file it said it was too large, can someone tell me the size limit and best format for posting right to this site? Like I said, VERY new to all this... Thanks.

Not to veer too much off topic, but how the hell the they hit that rock? Its over 300 feet from the road.

@Anthony Viscomi , RIGHT?! When I first pulled up to it I thought, after taking in the view he must have put it in drive instead of reverse when leaving. When I got home and viewed the video, thats when I noticed BOTH airbags had deployed, those don't pop out with a bump! Aren't they activated when the "hit" is like 35+ miles an hour?? They are one lucky bunch, I am going to stop and get some pics of the drop off, you can't really tell how far down it goes....FYI, there have been several people killed in that area going off the highway...

They're damned lucky it stopped at those rocks, given what lay 10 feet beyond. Looks like massively-incompetent driving; in over 40 years on the road (cars and motorcycles) I've never been involved in an accident of any kind - that's not just from luck.

And yes, airbag deployment tells me it wasn't just the wrong gear leaving a parking place.

Here are some video stills from my initial launch at the scene, it gives a little perspective as to where they could have ended up... The truck pictured is mine, I love having the tonneau (sp) to launch from, I am eventually getting a large "helipad" sticker to put on it. The link below takes you to my Flickr page.
