Good stuff I love lighting at night thanks for sharing - however there is a "BIG" chance of losing the drone should it get caught in a rain storm.

Very nice. I plan to dedicate my Air 2 to basically this and preserve the 2S for better conditions. Not ready yet but soon.

Do you have the drone covered in anything to protect it from the rain? What camera settings do you use?

Do the same with my wife. Sit in chairs in the driveway and fly up to get a bird’s eye view of nighttime lightning. To many obstructions otherwise. Good use of my wetsuit too cuz the rain is coming.

I just recently shot lightening for the first time. The conditions were pretty good - no rain, just a lot of flashes. I still need to edit it, but like you mentioned, it is a waiting game and also a game of "Catch me if you can". lol Great video, thanks for sharing.

When it mostly pitch black < i let the Video Camera do the Auto settings and the results have been excellent. One thing I have not been able to do is take a Picture , as these are just Frames from the Video :

The DJI drone is protected with a Phantomrain Wet Suit : Phantomrain.org
The Wet Suit allows the drone to fly in the Pouring Rain. by protecting the battery and the Power button on the drone with an Air Tight Seal.
