Yes, today I decided to bring out my mavic pro Out of the box.

Believe it or not The batteries still have charge after 6 years of being put away.

Charging one battery now to see if it will hold its charge.

Keep a close eye on the battery that's quite a long time- Don't think they will wake up BUT you never know! And have Fun The original Mavic is still the "funnest" of the Mavics to Fly -Not sure why

I know what you mean. I got that feeling when I would fly the mavic pro. And I also have my fire extinguisher nearby just in case

Question, since I have never owned that model I have no idea on the battery construction, specifically, if they swell, can you tell?

Drone should be fine. The batteries are the questionable part.

Got me beat, when I purchased my mini 3 pro I waited 6 wks before opening and charging thinking that was a big deal, lol!
