I have a single word domain.com for over 30 years.
I don't want to sell it yet, I have many emails that Is used still, not just mine. :)

I paid for a year of hosting, just never could get the change SS, CSS, SOS?.
My web sight was in Front Page, :):) Stop laughing
The templates for a Web Site or a Blog, "I'm not selling anything"

These forums are the only ones I trust.

Anybody got some thoughts. 👌

I don't understand.
I have a few domains. I don't do much webhosting anymore but a couple of the domains I've had for almost 20 years.

All of my web design was hard coded.

I’m not sure I understand what your concern is.

Is someone trying to sell your domain, even though it’s not for sale and you own it?

I code and develop websites, so if you could be a bit more specific about the problem you are trying to solve, then that would help us help you.

By the title, it sounds like you are looking for a website that allows you to share links with people - but I don’t quite understand the correlation of that title and the content in the post.

Hope we can help after we get a better explanation of your problem!

I can't answer for him but I can answer for me. I've had a single word domain for 25 years and I use it for my primary email address(s)
Beats having that old Juno email address :)

Yeah, for sure.

Funny backstory, though.
I was in a meeting in 1993 and everyone was offering up their Email addresses. I didn't even know what an email address was so I faked it and made up one based on what other people were saying.
I know I had an AOL account and someone mentioned their address of (name)@aol.com so I was confident I could get one so I had to pick something someone else probably wouldn't have had. So I picked my cats name which was "lilbit". So my Email address was [email protected].

Well, I added a second email address to my AOL account that was a nickname for my cat.
When I decided to do webhosting I decided to use that nickname of that cat in her memory. She had been hit by a car shortly before that.
So, That's how I ended up with that domain name. It's a single word that's a little less feminine than "lilbit".

My dad add 26 to my age still thinks he needs to go to aol to get his aol emails.
"Yahoo, I don't have a yahoo email."

@Bad Santa, you stated hard coded.
Did you do the coding?
Is there any running now.

Thanks all,
The questions I have been getting from you guys, is making me think a lot.

My dad too! Old habits die hard.

I believe he was referring to the contrast with today, where many websites are designed using WYSIWYG editors like Squarespace or modern software development tools.

Yes, I did the coding myself. The closest I've come to using a WYSIWYG editor was a brief time with Dreamweaver. I was getting into CSS when I stopped making webpages.
Any of my coding running now? Not really. I have a couple placeholders but that's about it.
I used to have a "I Love Lucy" domain and still have a Marilyn Monroe one.

Thanks
"WYSIWYG" No Clue.
I did coding in dBase, Clipper, Foxpro, for our own business. POS, Inventor, billing, Etc.

(Books, AP, Payroll, etc) = .F.

@msinger
I just looked at this.

The part at the top looked like coding I was familiar with, when I was using Front Page.
If I went in the direction of that sight, that would be something I would like because you are just sharing links.

I have been bouncing around looking at blogs. You guy's are helping me.

I'm going browse some stuff.

The difference is just how I refer to them.
I have the domain but there's no webpage.
I don't want to share the domain name as, when I do, someone could use that information to find out personal information (if they were really so inclined).

I search for "Marilyn Monroe"
I find a link to marilynmonroe.com

But now I'm on instagram?

I have no clue what you mean?
Are you stating you have place holder for "Marilyn Monroe" on Instagram?

Web addresses come in a lot of shapes and sizes.
.com .net .ws .biz .name
Etcetera.
A lot of people don't know you can have a dash in a web address too.

Are you saying your "Marilyn Monroe one" or "Marilyn Monroe" ?
Is on Instagram or where is if I wanted to go to it.

You do pay like $60.00 per year to a company like network solutions for your domain?
I thought you where sharing a website or domain where I could look at the code.

What's Instagram?
I don't know what I'm paying now. When I got the domain it wasn't that much. Probably $12 per year.

My Marilyn Monroe website only has a front page with an image of her. As I said, it's a placeholder.

Can you do a copy paste of the url here?
So I can see this front page?

I search for "Marilyn Monroe"
I get a link to "marilynmonroe.com" Nothing Else.
Well this is what I get.

Yes $12 a year I remember that, its not that now..
