Was flying today and for the first time I was just playing with it low and flying it full throttle around the yard (not in sport mode)..

Well it was coming towards me with not enough room to break and it flew right into the house. I almost **** my pants... went over to check and nothing was noticeably cracked / damaged...

I set it down and flew it for about 30 seconds to see if it acted right and it was acting ok.. camera seemed fully functional as well..

Are there any diagnostics or anything I can run with the app or whatever to make sure all is good or just fly it and pray??

Lesson learned. :/

Thanks

Did you know pressing the pause button is like an emergency brake?

Happened so fast.. I was pressing the other direction and it still just coasted into the side of the house..

Guessing the break would have had similar results?

I've been doing top speed runs in sport mode and pressing the pause button. The Mavic looks like it will almost go vertical to stop ASAP. Try it out.

Just as an FYI several folks have noted that with the latest update stopping distance has increased substantially.
I'd check the gimbal per the thread on here and if it doesn't complain then fly it.

Which thread? Thanks!

Definitely will test that out.. In a wide open area that is... :)

Thanks

The one with the .800 firmware update.

I can vouch for mine taking longer to stop. Note this is just from releasing the stick or putting in reverse - there's now a general slowdown. My guess is for smoother video.
I have yet to do a panic stop - I need to put it on my practice list.

I'm sure I read that when I read the manual. But thanks for the reminder. Since I read the manual before having any flight experience, I'm sure my retention is terrible. Now that I have 20+ flights under my belt, perhaps I should re-read the manual so I can absorb more.

I almost had my first crash yesterday. Went too close to a big tree with many branches. Mavic was under one branch and over one branch, so I guess it was "inside" the tree. I let go the sticks and it hovered for a few seconds. I slowly guided it out. But I know a crash is probably coming.

OP: AFAIK, there there is no diagnostics you can run. As Thunderdrones asked, basically whether you get an error message or not.

Technically diagnostics are auto run at boot time.
Too bad you can't access it directly and see results.

If I uploaded my flight files would someone be willing to tell me if I was indeed pushing the opposite direction or if I just flat out screwed up..

Go to your flight record and you can replay the flight and see what the sticks were doing.
