What causes spinning like this?

I’m just curious if this is more likely from a mechanical or IMU error?

Seems like the arms did not fully deploy, at least they‘re not in the position which they need to be.

Might aswell be the operator spinning it to keep it in the air

The left arm's broken and the rod holding the 2 left motors is pointing inwards.

I think the complete lack of a propeller may well have contributed.

The prop is there at the beginning, it broke off later... arm's broken from the start though. Interestingly it became more stable once the prop was gone

I missed that, and Felix caught the prop too-
It’s amazing they could still keep it in the air like that.

It is missing a pair of props. It's amazing that the drone is still flying at all, credit to amazing design and flight software.

Notice it lost one after the boat strike and became more stable. Too bad the video stopped before showing the inflatable boat sinking because of the cut it got from the prop!
