I'm just curious, but we know that the FAA and CE models of the same drones are sold based on the country sold in. I also know that there are hacks for the CE drones to get to FAA transmission standards. But let's put that aside and take the hack off the table for now.

What happens if someone from the US comes to the UK or Europe with their FAA drones. Does the geo-locator dumb down the transmission of the FAA controller? Or does the FAA controller output signal the same as it would in the US? Curious minds want to know.

The only Mavic that had different models was the first mini. The rest are the same model shipped globally. The setting for the transmission system is based on gps. So, yes - if I take my drones to the US the software recognises where I am and switches the system accordingly.

And when I go to the UK I go to CE Power...no biggie ;)

FCC, not FAA. ;)
