I bought my Mavic Pro Platinum the 7 of June 2018 and I've just checked the build date is November 2017.
Isn't it too old?

I've used this tool
DJI SERIAL DECODER

I guess it works for all DJI models.

The only thing that "time" could affect would be the batteries. It is, after all, a 2017 model. Same with cell phones.

I guess the one that dji gave you is a refurbish one :(

How can I know it?
I bought it through Gearbest in a different country (Germany stores), then it's going to be difficult to solve any possible problem.

A 2017 manufacture date doesn't mean refurbished. If in that year it is in the year of manufacture so may have been in a warehouse or a dealer's storage. Why not ask DJI directly about that matter. Take a good look at your unit. You should be able to tell if it was every used before. Again, ask DJI. Remember that thousands of them are producted before they even release them for sale.

I also thought about that.
I'll do it.

You went to the site. There was data sent back and forth. If you see http, it means no encryption. Https means its encrypted communications.

I'm well aware of that as a 25 year IT veteran. There are plenty of non-https sites that invite data input but they don't flag up a warning message like the one I got.

I bought mine directly from DJI three months ago and have manufacturing date as January 2018.

It's just how the browser is configured. Chrome will be flagging all non https sites as not secure next month.

Even my android phone says "Insecure Connection". No thanks.
I copied that link from this forum, it's in several posts.

The link is at
DJI SERIAL DECODER
there are a lot of links to that site, it's considered good.

I've also found that my battery is from September 2017

And I've checked the battery and the RC are half a year older.

Purchased my mpp Jan 2020. Build date Dec 2019 all batteries and rc all built within Dec 2019. Couldn't be happier.
