I have been using DaVinci resolve. Its great for beginners like me. Problem is it crashes randomly on my windows 10 machine.

I just downloaded a copy of DaVince Resolve. You can be up and running after watching a 45-minute tutorial. And yes, I exported my 4K video to 1080p, in .mp4 format.
