What's Up With Mavic Pro Batteries "Parts Only"

Seeing lots of "Parts Only" battery listings. Is there actually some use or need for them?

I think that was only a Tello battery...

Maybe for someone who wants to try and incorporate an LED strobe light, but doesn't want to destroy a good battery.

Looks like that one was a DOA battery. Seller states that it's "as is / for parts / not working" so nobody buys it and says they bought a bad battery. Really, these batteries are hard to get apart, and once you do, it's like letting the genie out of the bottle.
