when I take pictures it seems to take two ? one in focus and another smaller photo out of focus

It sounds like you might have JPEG+RAW selected here:

Also, the drone/controller creates quickie "thumbnails" which help quickly view contents but are very poor quality. Find the REAL/regular images.
