Where do you legally fly in Bay Area?

Hello all,

So my question is bit obvious: where can you legally fly your drone in Bay Area?

Yesterday I asked rangers at Skyline next to Windy Hill if I can fly my drone over that area (AirMap is all green at this point). The answer was - big no. They even caught and gave citation to drone flyer earlier that day. According to rangers all areas around Skyline are no fly. Castle Rock State Park doesn't say a word about drones on its website though.

Another area I'm considering is ocean side between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz, it's also green on AirMap.

What do you think guys? Please share your favorite locations

Baylands park in Sunnyvale is the only officially sanctioned park that allows drones.
If you stay away from populated areas and parks, specifically SF and any part of Golden Gate Park you should be ok.
I flew down over the beach and ocean in Half Moon Bay without issues.
