I know the Mavic does not record sound. that is not my question. I'm using an iPad Pro. When I watch a video that someone posted that obviously has sound, like someone talking, I hear nothing. I've checked the settings on the iPad Pro and I've looked at the settings in the app and cannot find anything related to this. Please someone point me to where I am being an idiot. Thank you

Use a different device such as a camera or video recorder to record your voice while flying. Then put the audio in over your video using an editor

It should work like any other apps and just play the audio. I assume we are talking about viewing videos using the Mavic Pilots mobile app? Do other sites like Youtube have audio you can hear?

You are probably referring to someone using screen capture.

Yes I am talking about the MavicPilots mobile app. I have no problems hearing the sound in YouTube or Any other apps that I use. I have deleted this app and reinstalled it and shut down my IPad Pro and turned it back on. Still no sound when watching videos on this forum. Even those tutorial videos where somebody is holding their Mavic And talking to the camera.
I imagine that I am missing something simple but I just can't find it.
Thanks for any help

As an example I get no sound when I play this video. I will be streaming music and when the video starts my music stops and then silence while the video plays.
It's just kind of weird.

Have you tried adjusting the mute and volume control on the youtube video player?

The volume is all the way up. Not sure what you mean by mute control.

There is a mute button on the side (if you set it that way) but it would mute all sounds from the pad. I suggest you use the web browser. I never use the app but then again I never like Tapatalk which it is based on. You can even make a bookmark icon on the pad screen by going to the the web site you want to save, click the tiny box at the bottom with an arrow pointing up, then choose "add to home screen". Thats it, it will now look like an app icon on your screen. For what it is worth, you are the only person so far that has had this issue so maybe there is some sort of setting you need to tweak. It is not jailbroken is it?

Thanks LuvMyTJ, your web browser suggestion worked! I didn't even think of that, duh. My iPad is not jailbroken and interestingly I do have the sound on my iPhone app. I thought I had looked in all the apps settings for a sound toggle But maybe I missed it. I wouldn't think it is my iPad itself since it works fine with everything else.
I'm glad my one of a kind problem is with the app and not with my drone itself! Thank you for your helpful insight and if I ever determine what my issue is about I will let you know.
