much thanks for your update. In what program on your iPhone 11 did you turn off location update? Was this for the DJI app? I will try that and see what happens. Again, thanks for verifying that this is a real problem and not "operator error".

I’m using the DJI GO4 app And that’s where the red arrow faces the wrong way and it’s scary so to fix it I went to the settings app on the iPhone

ios 13.2/settings app/ privacy/ location services-toggle to off and back to on.

I searched compass facing wrong way on google and found the fix there for iPhone, it’s the phone compass not the drone or Dji go 4 app making the problem.
msybe you could search android compass fix (pointing wrong direction), if you still use android phones.
