Hello

I’ve just got the mavic 2 Pro and need a new set of filters.

I’m shooting in DLog flat picture profile to give me the most flexibility in post and because of the bright sunny days in Singapore I need some ND filters, that part I know for sure! What I can’t find online is whether people that shoot in DLog buy just normal ND filters or Polarised ND filters?

My thinking is that shooting in DLog and putting on a polarised filter would be a big contradiction because that DLog removes contrast and saturation while the Polarised ND filters brings it back.

Or is it that the Polarised ND filter brings back some of the good stuff while the DLog still gets rid of some of the bad stuff? If you know what I mean...

So, normal ND or Polarised ND?

When recording video it is generally advised to use non-polarized filters. The main reason is that a polarized filter will darken or lighten the sky depending on your angle to the sun while in motion. This light variability makes it difficult to maintain a consistent sky value in post editing.
