Firstly, I am glad you got a drone.
Secondly it is a pity they gave the "don't worry about it, this is a very rare failure." answer, I think there was a small spate of such incidents at that time.
Sar104, do you think the 'loss of signal' was a shut down rather than a true loss of signal?

It was unambiguously a shut down. The smart battery % went to zero at 950 seconds and the cell voltages started to collapse at around 1050 seconds. But the definitive indicator is that at 1061 seconds, on the last line of data, the parameter OSD_isMotorOn transitioned from True to False, indicating motor shut down.

I'm not following your logic for this advice. Since it quit flying/transmitting data due to "Battery Depletion" a Restart is not possible.

Did I miss some context?
