Will iPad Mini 5 Fit Mavic Pro 1 Controller?

I’m considering buying a used iPad mini 5 to replace the iPad mini 2 I currently use with my Mavic Pro 1. I like how the Mini 2 fits into the controller and want to know if the Mini 5 will fit. It appears it is 3.3mm bigger in the long dimension, so I wanted to see if anyone has tried a Mini 5 in the Mavic Pro 1 controller. The Mini 2 is a snug fit. Thanks for any relevant experience you can share.
