Originally called "Ruigenhill", this town was renamed to Willemstad ("Williamstown") in 1584 after the murder of William of Orange, the first Prince and founder of the Netherlands.
The star-shaped fortifications dat back to the 16th century and make this tiny city a popular tourist attraction, and of course a great target for an excursion with the Mavic.
Today we celebrate the birthday of our current king, Willem-Alexander van Oranje-Nassau, so this was an excellent excuse for me to go there! Strong and gusty winds prevented me from flying longer and further, so the movie is a bit limited, but together with some nice pictures, I am quite happy with the result!
