Consider installing Windows Movie Maker 6.0 and custom effects. In particular, look at the Contrast effects and the Film Look effects. This version of WMM 6.0 can be installed side-by-side with the latest Movie Maker. You could correct/alter a clip in WMM 6.0, save it and then make further edits in the newer version.
I can't find a site from which to download wmm 6.0.
I've downloaded the app from the Blaine Movie site but, it won't open.
Might not be a valid Windows installer package.
