Notice, the video is 1 hour long! If you let me know how long you watched before getting bored, I would appreciate it

I watched about 11 minutes of it , right up to the dog in the window.
This really looked nice on the Projection wall a 16 ft screen.

This is the best way for me to test the quality of pictures and video taken.

Thank you so much for watching and for your thoughtful feedback! It’s great to hear that the video looked impressive on your 16 ft projection wall. Testing the quality of pictures and videos this way sounds like a brilliant idea!

But you have only watched about 5.5 minutes of the video. Was it becoming hard to keep watching the video?

Super video! Great camera work and fantastic editing. I guess the low level stuff was not done with a drone so the matching is perfect too! The Spanish Tourist Board should be using this. Watched right through but I do use the skip 10 button with most videos as I’ll not live long enough to enjoy everything on here! Only thing I’d ask for is the odd slide with a map to save me having to flip over to Google maps and geolocate places I’ve never heard of. (I know that’s a big ask when you’re editing but for travelogues like this speakers at our photo club usually add maps so we know exactly where we are.) But hey, in a cold wet UK that was brilliant! Thanks for sharing.
Quick edit to say the music was perfect too!!

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment! 😊 I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the video and appreciated the camera work and editing. It means a lot to hear such positive feedback.

You're absolutely right about the low-level shots, no drones involved. It's great to know that the matching worked well. I'm honored by your suggestion that the Spanish Tourist Board should use this, what a compliment!

I really appreciate your suggestion to add maps with the locations. While I see the value in this addition, I'm finding it challenging to add them to my videos in a way that doesn't feel too intrusive. But I'll keep thinking about how to incorporate them smoothly in the future.

I'm glad the video provided a bit of warmth and entertainment, especially with the cold, wet weather in the UK. And I'm delighted you enjoyed the music too! Thanks again for watching and sharing your thoughts.

I made it to ten minutes, but I just got annoyed at your constant camera movement in every single film clip. It was far too much and unnecessary. There are times when this is needed or okay to do and many times when it is not needed and just gets frustrating to watch.

You had some great footage in there, but you do not need to keep moving the camera while filming. Sometimes you can have the camera still for a few seconds and then possibly move it a little with a pan or tilt up or down, but not every single scene.

Also, at the first minutes or so of filming, you are jumping from a left drone pan to a right drone pan to a left, etc. It is best not to do this, back-to-back. if panning right then maybe a straight on flight shot then possible a straight down and then maybe a left panning shot, but don't jump left, right, left right etc. or as I've seen some do, forward and backwards flight one after another, It is disturbing to the viewer.

An hour is too long even for someone extremely interested in the subject matter. Break everything up and put it into episodes. Also, try and tell a story with the footage, don't go summer to winter back to summer shots. I'm not a film maker but this is how I feel about the footage, so far.

I jumped through it a bit further into your film, and it looked like you still had some good, interesting footage. However, I did not have the time to stay and continue watching. Always try and leave your audience wanting to see more, when you end. That will bring them back to watch more. If you give them so much they have become bored, they will probably never want to watch anything else you produce, for fear of quickly becoming bored again. Hope this helps.

Your shots are amazing, but I watched for about three minutes before losing interest. I agree with

Cymruflyer, consider breaking this into smaller pieces and letting viewers know what/where they are watching.

Keep at it; you have some great talent, and I applaud your effort in getting feedback.

Thank you so much for your kind words and valuable feedback! 😊 I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed the shots. I understand your point about the pacing.

I'd like to mention that all the towns, cities, and known forests do have an on-screen label indicating their names and the respective provinces in Spain. This video is a selection of the best footage I've captured over time. On my YouTube channel, you can find shorter videos of nearly all the places featured in this video, and the labels with the names and provinces will help you locate them.

I appreciate your encouragement, and I truly value the time you took to watch and comment. Stay tuned for more refined content, and feel free to share any other suggestions you might have. Thanks again!

Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and share such detailed feedback. I really appreciate your honesty and constructive criticism.

I understand your point about the constant camera movement and the need for more stable shots. In this video, there is quite a bit of material from when I first started filming, and unfortunately, I was very fond of moving the camera excessively. Nowadays, I am aware of this tendency and try to avoid it, though I don't always succeed. I've attempted to ensure the scenes flow well in terms of camera movement, but I see that it hasn't worked as well as I hoped. As for the seasonal changes, such as summer to winter, it was intentional to create contrasts, but I realize it may not have been well understood.

Regarding the video's length, I agree that it is quite long, and I'm aware that very few people, if any, will watch it all the way through. However, I created this video for myself because I wanted to take on a "big" project, an hour-long compilation of what I consider to be the most beautiful footage I've captured over time. On my YouTube channel, you can find shorter videos of nearly all the places featured in this video. The labels with the names and provinces will help you locate them.

Thank you for your encouragement and valuable suggestions. I'll keep striving to improve my content. Thanks again!

Believe it or not, I loved the film but only watched about 3 minutes. I am retired, but I have many other things going on so I simply cannot spare the time to watch anything that is one hour unless I pay to enter a theatre or watch it on television. The scenery, pace, colors, interest, are all excellent.

I guess I would sum it up as follows: watching this whole film would be like eating 4 chocolate pies with whipped cream. Too much all at once, even though it was excellent.

Should have ended it at 2:35 with the sunset and called it good. Impact ended immediately after that. The rest looked like B roll or C roll by comparison. Instead, create a playlist of 2-3 minute segments, starting with the best first.

Thank you for your comment! I'm delighted to hear that you enjoyed the scenery, pace, and colors, which suggests you found the video to be well-made. However, you mentioned that you only watched about 3 minutes. So, I guess this means you didn't find it interesting enough to continue.

I was quite aware that very few people, if any, would spend an hour watching my video. In fact, I had a feeling that almost no one would dedicate that much time to it. Your feedback has confirmed my thoughts, and I appreciate your honesty.

It seems the obvious way to capture people's attention is by creating shorter, more digestible segments. However, this video was a personal project and a challenge that I am very proud to have accomplished. Editing this video has been a fulfilling experience for me, even if it goes against the idea of getting attention on it.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Thank you for your feedback! I have to respectfully disagree with the notion that after 2:35, the video turns into "B roll or C roll." The video simply transitions to different types of scenes. I put a lot of thought into every part of the video, and I believe each segment has its own unique value.

I'm curious, how much of the video did you watch to arrive at this conclusion?

As I've mentioned in other responses, selecting what I believed to be the best footage, editing it together, color grading, and creating this video was a personal challenge that I'm very proud to have accomplished. I was aware that the video's length might not make it popular. This project was about more than just gaining viewers; it was about pushing my creative boundaries and improving my skills.

Reread the feedback you have received. The overwhelming consensus is that past the 3 minute mark, the video became too boring to watch. Once you started including non-drone shots, I completely lost interest, as I found them very pedestrian and uninteresting on a drone forum. Definitely B roll.

Your "project" is still unfinished.

To take it to the next level, push your creative boundaries and improve your skills, by splitting your hour long "masterpiece video" into 20 to 30 separate 2 to 3 minute cohesive mimi segments, exactly as everyone else has been telling you, and create a single YouTube Playlist out of them instead. You'll thank me later, and you will quickly find out which of the 20 to 30 video clips are perceived as worthy, and which won't even make it past the 10 second viewing mark. I'll bet it is still the first 2:35 minutes of this hour long video, which ends in a nice sunset.

I always make an effort to read and consider all the feedback I receive, which is precisely why I posted here and why I usually share my work in this section of the forum. I find it useful to gather different perspectives and see how others perceive the videos I create. That said, I want to clarify that at no point have I referred to my video as a 'masterpiece,' nor have I implied anything similar. My intention was simply to share what I consider to be my best footage so far. Of course, just because I believe this is the best I’ve shot doesn’t mean it has to appeal to everyone who watches it.

Regarding your suggestion, I appreciate the input. It’s true that long videos aren’t for everyone, and I understand that some might prefer shorter segments. In fact, most of the clips featured in this video are already available individually on my channel, so anyone who prefers to watch them separately can do so. That being said, I will most likely publish this video in smaller segments in the future, as you suggested.
