You can't fly your drone here.

Why not?

- It's not allowed
- We have a policy against it
- There is an ordinance against it
- You can put someone's eye out with that thing (thanks to my mom for this one. It covers a lot of items)
- It could drop out of the sky and hurt someone (emergency rooms are on alert)
- You might hit an airplane
- It's a privacy violation
- It makes too much noise
- You're in a National Park
- You're in a National Historic Park (Excuse me. I stand corrected)
- It scares the wildlife
- It interferes with the power lines
- It intercepts phone calls
- Someone might shoot it down
- You have to wait an hour after you eat
- Solar eclipse
- Lunar eclipse

I think that about covers it.

It's the same thing with my E-Bike. They're afraid that someone might be having more fun than them, and they can't stand it.

Control Freaks!

I think it's more a problem that e-bikes are evolving towards just being electric dirt bikes. Quieter, but potentially just as damaging to trail systems.

Those are called MTB's. There are three classes of e-bike. Mine is a class 1, which doesn't provide any propulsion, but makes pedaling easier. My right leg only has 25% of the power that my left has after a serious injury several years ago. I can't pedal without assistance. Class 2 and Class3 do provide propulsion.

WOW... I didn't know a butterfly caused tornadoes on the other side of the world !!! (Sorry, continent)
The stuff you can learn on this forum is Amazing.

The butterfly effect IS an accepted part of “Chaos Theory,” which holds that small changes (for example, the displaced air from butterfly wings flapping in Chicago) can result in massive changes elsewhere (such as tornadoes in Tokyo).

However, butterflies are just the beginning. For example, what effect do human farts blasted in Cleveland, Ohio, have in the Pacific Ocean? Tsunamis. Hot air from the U.S. Congress? Global warming. My ex’s never-ending bitterness? Acid rain. Yep. The Universe is a mysterious place, indeed.

If they restrict it to Class 1 I think that's fine.

I always notify the local law enforcement before I fly a job bc ppl immediately think you’re doing something illegal. I didn’t think we were supposed to stereotype, but ppl do it all the time!!!

I also refer to as an UAS due to this reason.

Thankfully, there's no sign - yet - drones are being claimed to interfere with our sex lives. No evidence of a decline in population growth in places where what is clearly a hugely influential piece of technology is flying!!
?????;)

the fast spinning props could create a black hole and suck the planet into it.

That's absolutely true! I shaved the cat once by flying a racing drone upside down right over its back and I haven't seen it since!

So I carried my drone from Miami to Zambia-no problem at all with customs- never inspected anything, but I got to my riverside lodge (across the river is a national park) I was told no drones, scare the wildlife, encourages the poachers, etc. Not even permission from the lodge owner to hover directly over the lodge out of the park to photograph the lodge. I put it away in my room. I am not going to a Zambezian (?spelling) police department or worse for that image.

it usually boils down to if you look professional in a sense. a lot of hobby flyers do not have a sense of professionalism
