Opened up a YT channel few months back , to go along with My Vimeo Channel as a back up.

I Found I had a corrupt Video on Vimeo so I went to download from Youtube my Back up plan and well turns out you have to Pay for a Subscription to download your own videos back to your computer. Very Sneaky surprise attack plan. Well done You Tube , you got me , I never saw that coming.
You can freely download in 720 resolution for free but nothing more, needless to say I am now a premium member.

Its actually worth it if you spend ANY time at all on YouTube. Just having NO ADS is a huge plus...not to mention something like you found.. wink

I use an add-on called Easy YT downloader with FireFox. I made a 5 dollar donation, and it allows me to download most all videos in 1080. I download a lot of movies, music., and other misc. videos. It does not support high res though. 1080 is good enough for me, even 720, lol, and the music is downloaded in MP3 format.
