Zoom Question

Ok....so I know I can't zoom in D-Log, only under Normal, and only under 4k or below, etc.

So....If I am recording at 4k @ 30FPS and zoom in using the wheel, what does that do to my resolution? Will it still be 4k or will it be reduced. I'm assuming it is just cropping what is on the sensor reducing the resolution, correct? Just looking for some clarification.
