So I was reading that FAA is making changes. Basically your drone has to have this to be able to fly. Is this something that the mavic pro has or would I have to end up buying a new drone? I’m a bit confused reading these changes.

Maybe you could point to what you were reading?

Here's the relevant part for drone fliers ...
Effective Dates
September 16, 2023:
  • Commercial and recreational UAS drone pilots must meet one of the three ways to comply with the rule when flying their drone.

So in other words when rules go into effect I should still be ok with the mavic pro then right? Sorry kind of new to the drone scene.

So in other words, whatever they come up with eventually won't come into force for another 2.5 years.
You can forget about it for a long time.
