Fly wifi problems!

So I have had some problems flying my mavic through wifi with my Note 5 and Tab S2. It connects but does not give me the option to fly now or go into the options at all. I am curious if anyone else has had the same problem with up to date Samsung devices. I can pull out the cheap Samsung tab e and it works good but scared with the slower tech involved. PS I am not Interetested in hearing from people looking for a debate on how they are not dji recommended devices or trolls, just general knowledge on a hard to find subject. Also I do not plan on flying this a lot and know I can just pull out the controller but just want it to work because it is available! Thanks!
