How to clear Mavic data

Hi. I'm selling my Mavic Pro and I wanted to know how I clear the drone of my account details so it's a fresh drone for the new owner.

If you have DJI assistant installed on a pc or mac, you can plug the mavic in and do a full system factory reset,

Hmm you should. You can download it from DJI website.

It takes a few minutes to download it from the dji site, I don't think you can do it from the app, think you can only reset camera settings etc from the app. If you want to do the full reset you will have to plug in the mavic and wipe it I think!

No not done it but there is a button to reset to factory default under firmware tab iirc, just like a smartphone reset it wont be difficult.

No not yet. I am not planning to sell my Mavic. Keep us informed please if it worked out for you.

The factory reset will not clear the internal flight data though. For that reason, I wouldn't even recommend you bother with it.

But surely the drone is registered to my DJI account isn't it? Won't I need to deregister it ?

Yes. There is no way to unregister it.

So if I sell it how does the new owner fly it with their own dji account? Sorry if I'm being thick here

They just need to install DJI GO 4 and log into their own DJI account. There is nothing to do on your end.
