Welcome to the forum from Chicago the Windy City.
Many things to learn about, one of them is flying off downwind in a wind that is too strong for the drone to RTH against it. Another one is a poor understanding of how the drone is programmed and how to use it.
Drones don't just fly away. Pilots say very often: I lost my drone and don't understand WHY.
