MP Controller not connecting to my iPad now?

I used the USB port at the bottom of the controller and then to my iPad, tried it several times unplugging and replugging it.

So there anything I am doing wrong? Albeit, it's been over a month since I've used the MP, spent last night updating the FW via DJI2 Assistant, because the NFZ OTA was a PITA.

i didn't know it made a difference, i dont think i ever disconnected it before - thanks for the tip, just the tip
