I've been lurking around for a few weeks. Just ordered my Mavic on Monday and was notified it shipped today. I'm looking forward to getting it.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I have been watching every tutorial I can and started reading the manual last night. I don't plan on putting it in the air until I've read it fully and understand the settings and operation in all modes. Even then I will start out in tripod lol.

Good for you taztwr, this was probably the first manual which I read in whole. I am also new to the quad world so welcome as well. I live up in Bellingham, where abouts are you located?

Haha good one Anthony. If I could absorb all the detailed information from the manual by flying in beginner mode I'd be set. However, the manual does have some very useful information about sensors, RC signal, etc. stuff that beginner mode would not discuss.
