Since yesterday I can not connect my note 4 to the controller-each time it shows disconnected status. I can connect it via USB from the bottom of the controller now you' gonna say that the cable is crap but it's the factory one and its only couple days old...And what is worth mentioning when I connect it to the side cable my note 4 gives a beep sound indicating that it hasn't just been connected. Only the status remains disconnected

Not sure how long you have had your drone, But i too had this issue had to send it back to DJI they replaced the mother board in the RC and sent it back a month later, all is fixed now.

I HOPE AND PRAY this is not the case for you.

Try checking the settings on your device so that when the USB is pluged in it is set to FILE TRANSFER and not CHARGE
Does your note show that it is charging when you plug it in to the RC?
