That is sooo untrue I don't even know where to start. PLENTY of Android devices work PERFECTLY. But...you do need to do a little homework and find out which ones have been shown to work and which ones don't. Yes iOS is more consistent across the board (but there are also way fewer versions)...
I can see why DJI does it (Liability). I also see NO reason not to do exactly what the OP did and take matters into your own hands.
DJI is off the hook and the pilot gets right back to being responsible for his own actions....as it should be. At least there is a workaround.
Finally got a chance to fly with the Iconia One 7". Worked perfectly...flew through two batteries with no major issues. I did notice some very brief lag (couple times) with fast camera pans but mostly it was perfect. Not bad for a $90 tablet. I will be flying with it vs my phone (which I also...
Well it's not only my first drone it's my first foray into RC anything. So far so good...but I am taking it slow. I do wish I could manually put it into atti mode so I could practice that.
The Judge did not side with the "shooter" he simply said the case did not belong in Federal court and that it belonged in State court. So call this one "undecided".
"In a Tuesday opinion, Senior US District Judge Thomas B. Russell ruled in favor of Merideth’s motion to dismiss, finding that...
The Acer Iconia One 7" is known to work well with the GO 4 app. You need the 770 model or newer with the MediaTek processor. $90 shipped for the newest model (790). Best part is it fits like a glove into the stock controller.
I'm just getting started (3 flights so far) so this doesn't really count (no crashes). But...I did come too close for comfort the first time I tried sport mode (halfway through my second ever flight).
The Iconia showed (two days to get here) and I hooked it up. No problem at all making a connection and everything looked great (perfect fit also). Couldn't fly yet so I can't report on the video feed yet (bad weather).
Well my Iconia One came in (only took two days). Hooked it up and it updated the firmware and made a connection to the Mavic with no issues. Can't fly yet (weather sucks) but will update after I do. Looks like it should be good to go. BWT, I think it's a perfect fit in the controller. It would...
Well this is being asked in a Mavic forum so no surprise at the answers. I just bought my very first drone and after looking at virtually everything out there and factoring in the price I bought the Mavic Pro "fly more" package from Massdrop. So far I love it.
