Which Mavic version are you on? Any reason for me to upgrade from 0.0700?

In another forum somebody posted that this issue was not happening in Mac OS HIGH Sierra beta. The official release is on the 26th so not long to wait and see if the problem is fixed.

Strange. I'm (back) on 0.700 and have just plugged it in and am only offered .1000, no prior versions at all. I think I'm going to wait before "upgrading" as .0800 and .0900 both had issues with the RAW files not working on my Mac. .0700 is working just fine.

That's interesting, as I read on the DJI forum that somebody was still having the black square RAW issue after the update.

I'm heading there in the New Year. I'd be interested to know this as well, as I had read that it required a permit, which was very hard to get. I also heard that (unlike the rest f the country) they were actually quite strict about it.

The initial picture you see is the embedded JPEG. It goes black when it tries to render the full RAW file. I'm looking forward to a solution to this.

The replacement I was sent worked fine... until I upgraded to 0.800 firmware. Thankfully a drop back to 0.700 fixed the issue one the second drone. Good luck getting yours sorted out.

I doubt this is a universal problem, or everybody would be on here. Had you done anything (such as edit) to any of your DNG files before opening them on the Mac?

Looks like 1.3.0900 hasn't fixed the 'black rectangle RAW' issue that this post was originally about. Hopefully it has fixed the 'blue stripe' issue for the rest of you though. Back to 1.3.0700 for me then.

I've had to 'downgrade' to .700 to fix this issue. I tried the downgrade, reupgrade suggested earlier, but that didn't work. Let's see what happens with .900.

Great news! My new Mavic just arrived and, after doing a Firmware update, all seems to be working as intended. My DNG files open without issue in both Preview and Photos.
