I would have mentioned to the dog's owner that these propellers on your $1000+ device are spinning at a few thousand RPM. Mention that you don't want to see the dog hurt itself or your device, and that you'd like their contact info ASAP, especially if the dog isn't on a leash. Get the dog owner...

I use a Kindle Fire HD 10 and am happy with it. Mine is rooted, and I've disabled nearly all of the Amazon bloat. It's very responsive, runs DJI Go 4, has a big screen that is mostly OK outdoors, costs $150 retail and less when on sale.

If it gets knocked loose, there is a likelihood that at least one of the propellers could be chipped, something could be tangled, or one of the motors might not be free enough to fully start. You could very easily end up accidentally causing your drone to drop like a brick from the tree.
