Hello from St. John's, Newfoundland Canada.

Hello and welcome. This is a great hobby and I am sure you will love it. Just a heads up that pretty much all of St. John's is controlled airspace and will require an advanced certificate and flight authorization with Nav Canada. I'm from the rock originally and can't wait to get back and...

CPU overloaded - related performance may be affected

I should have added I have only been flying line of sight in a very rural area and without obstruction between me and the drone.

CPU overloaded - related performance may be affected

Sorry. I was trying to keep things short. This appears to be a common problem with a variety of devices using DJI Fly. Mine is a MA2 with standard controller. I purchased an ipad mini 4 for dedicated use with the drone and now get the message periodically. As stated I am not looking to solve...

CPU overloaded - related performance may be affected

Does anyone know specifically what "related performance" will be affected? I know this is a common problem and I have followed many of the threads from other folks who have the problem. I have tried all of the suggested fixes and I am not looking for more of these. Does anyone know what...

Recommendations for drone flight reviewer - Canada

Hi I am looking for recommendations for a flight reviewer within a couple of hours (2,3)of Toronto GTA, Barrie, Ontario. I already passed the advanced rpas certificate test and will go for full certification if the price is right. I am just a hobby flyer and don't need advanced certification...

Canada - Advanced RPAS [Free resources / guides]?

Don Drones On is fantastic. I also purchased an (iPhone) app called Drone RPAS Exam Canada I think it was about $29 but in my opinion completely worth it. It covers Basic and Advanced exam requirements. Read about it before spending the money but again I found it very helpful.

    Free adobe editing

I received my 3 month offer today valid from the time I activate my drone. My MA2 arrived on November 2/20 and was activated the same day, so I guess my trial ended a week ago? I am sure (hoping) they will still give me the free trial since I haven't used it before.

MA2 always hand launched and landed...

Hi I have always wondered if I could take off/land from the bed of my pickup truck. I have had folks tell me its is a very bad idea but still hear of others doing it. Haven you ever encountered a problem? Thanks

    Aircraft Orientation Indicator Missing

First time out I really didn't like it. After a few flights it has grown on me and I think I actually prefer it. However, I think it would be better if it was located where its used be. Also I find it to be too small.

    Body Wraps - MA2

I was just looking at a YouTube video about drone wraps (skins). There was a comment warning that the wrap could potentially come loose and cause an accident. Has anyone had experience with this? It seems possible I guess but how real a problem I'm not sure. Cheers

    RPAS Study Guide Recommendations?

Don Drones On has been my go to since starting the hobby. He has loads of information for both basic and advanced training. They have also developed an app called Drone Pilot Canada. Its $50 but gives you everything you need to meet Transport Canada's procedural requirements. Good luck

    New ma2 case arrived today

Just received a Nanuk 915 case for mavic air 2. This thing is incredible. It's a bit on the expensive side compared to some of the other hard cases but I can't imagine ever needing another case. The build quality is amazing. I highly recommended giving it a look if you're in the market for a...

RTH change in new DJI fly app

Sorry. Maybe I'm missing something. Before, the drone would go to the prescribed height (eg. 150 ft) clearing the highest obstacle in the flight path. Now (when within 50 metres) the drone will return at the height you're currently flying (let's say 50 feet). What if there is a 100 foot tree...

RTH change in new DJI fly app

What is the benefit of the change to RTH in the latest Fly app? I don't see any benefit to having the drone maintain the current height and coming back as opposed to going to the height you pick in the settings. Am I missing something?
