mavic 2 pro best video settings

Sorry, bad editing and hurrying on my part. I meant to say something about keeping the ISO low to improve image quality (less noise) and instead wrote the messy sentence you brought up. You are correct. Cheers.

BTW, your card could be the culprit as there are a lot of fakes around. I use Sandisk Extreme Pro v30 cards and have never had that problem. When I first got the M Pro 2 I used a slower card I had for my GoPro and I got serious stuttering in certain cases. Cheers.

mavic 2 pro best video settings

As said above, if you want to shoot decent video, you'll need some ND filters. Polar Pro make pretty decent ones. I have them and they offer great image quality. I have three of them, ND 4, ND 8 and ND 16. Using ND filters allows you to keep the ISO low as well as the shutter speed. Without...

Is there a way to pan video using built-in actions?

Without any sort of example of the problem that you are having, I can only guess that you are panning too quickly. When panning or tilting, you have to go slow or you will get some (or a lot of) jitter. A good rule of thumb can be seen at: https://www.red.com/red-101/camera-panning-speed If...

Mavic 2 Pro - Is this video normal or Juddery?

Good point about the ND filters, Crusader14. I was in a hurry to answer and get out the door and thought that they'd been discussed on one of the linked posts. They're even more necessary at 24 or 30 fps though because the shutter can and is likely to be open even longer than 60 fps allows...

Mavic 2 Pro - Is this video normal or Juddery?

If you're not needing to match your drone footage to other footage shot at 24 fps, I'd change it to 30 fps. That will help a bit right from the start.

Mavic 2 Pro - Is this video normal or Juddery?

BTW, I'm using Sandisk Extreme Pro V30 cards. I've never had a problem with them using the techniques above. There are a lot of counterfeit cards out there though and they are known to often cause problems. If the above info doesn't help, you may need new cards.

Mavic 2 Pro - Is this video normal or Juddery?

Hi. We really need a sticky for this question. You don't really give enough info on what your camera settings are regarding frame rate and shutter speed. I'm afraid I don't know what the default settings are as I've never used them. If you're going for that "cinematic look" and shooting at...

    Reflective paint or stickers?

Do a search for "Mavic 2 Skins." You might find what you need off the shelf and they're not expensive and won't mess up your drone. Cheers.

    Yaw & Pitch settings

For all those still trying to find a solution to smoother yaw and pitch movements, have you tried setting an exponential curve to the movement in settings? That can smooth response significantly, though you still have to use smooth stick movements. One explanation of these settings is...

    Poor video quality

You can alter the gimbal settings to help smooth out panning movements. You can also set up an exponential rate for the yaw control which will also help. There are several tutorials for both on YouTube so I won't go into it here. Panning, whether on a drone or a tripod, regardless of...

    Da Vinci Resolve questions

I find that the DJI LUT is pretty good. Another one I use a lot is the Leeming LUT (Leeming LUT Pro). It's cheap, around $15 US, and made specifically for the Mavic 2 Pro. It provides very natural colours and still grades well after application. You have to follow the recommendations to ETTR...

    Mavic question regarding ND filters.

The weight of the Polar Pro filters is a non-issue, at least for the Mavic 2 Pro. On my little electronic scale, the stock and PP filters weigh the same at 2 grams or .1 oz. It's not the most accurate scale ever but I can assure you that you have nothing to worry about. I have both ND and...

Mavic 2 Pro Color Questions (DLOG, Normal)

You could transcode with a free program like V6 from HD Cinematics (Free, it's easy and OK.) or something like Handbrake if you want to geek out, or you could just do it straight from Dacvinci. Just render it out as a different file type. You can get a decent workflow from: How to Export...

    Mavic 2 pro postproduction

The real problem isn't 4K, it's H265 in combination with a slower computer. I'd be willing to bet that the iMac in question could easily handle H264 or ProRes files at a much higher bit rate. As said above, with proxies or transcoded files, they are much less likely to have a problem (if at...
