After the latest updates, the FT-Aviator works great. As a longtime videographer, I'm looking for a 'flying dolly. The drone fits the bill, and coupled with the FT-Aviator, it's even easier. Sure, it has a learning curve, but if you have a good eye for video, you won't be disappointed. Dave :)

You might see that with aperture closed because the AGC (automatic gain control) may be on trying to increase the gain, introducing noise/slight banding.. Should be fine with a well exposed image.

You can either add an SD card to yout Mavic 2, or you can adjust the settings to save the hirez version to Internal memory.

The blocking signal does not have to between you and the drone. The signal can be off to the side and be received stronger than the drone's signal. The blocking signal could even be behind you. Knowing radio wave propagation helps. You should study up on that. SEE BELOW. RADIO WAVE PROPAGATION

I have the Osmo Mobile 2. I'll just be shooting around the house, inside and out. Very smooth. It takes a little to get used to. Be sure to balance the phone. I love it and can't wait for an upcoming street fair to put it thru it's paces.

Hmm... I have a Note 8 and didn't have to root mine. After I hook everything up, then I change the USB setting in Developer Options. You must enable the Developer Options on the phone first and turn on USB Debugging. Google that to find out how to enable Developer Options.

Can you provide a section of the video as an example? I saw lines flickering, but it was the drone's propeller shadows in my shot. My solution was to shoot in a different direction to throw the prop shadows away from the camera. Does this sound like your problem?

Very interesting. Wonder if some company makes a fan that rotates in the opposite direction? That way it wouldn't spin around if the fans were configured correctly - two clockwise and two counterclockwise.

There are three motors controlling movement, giving the gimbal the freedom to move around - without power. Do you feel the gimbals are being pushed beyond their extent?
