I too have kept my mavic pro. I bought a mini2 and then a mini3 pro (which I still fly a ton) and I have an air3 which I consider my “super upgrade”. I gave my mini 2 to my nephew and I think I’ll just keep my air 3 for many years. My wife just won’t have me busting out wads of thousand dollar...
I had a mavic pro battery ignite inside my truck a few years back. I was charging as I was driving to my next flight spot. Scared the absolute crapola out of me. Those drone batteries are not to be ignored during charging that’s for sure. I’m glad things worked out in this case!

I have had this happen actually. my mini2 also disconnected in an open field about 20m up and about 70m out from me. Luckily I was able to regain connection, but it really has made me think hard about whether I can actually have confidence in this quads system.

not Sure what you mean when you say Canada is keeping the trash out,but trust me,we have more than our share of problems. What we do have is (finally) a somewhat clear and quite free set of rules governing drone flights. I fly my mini2 around my City quite often and can count on one hand the...
Interesting. ?? I always fly my mp with a radio tracker. I never thought that would be considered a “modification“ more like a payload. I wonder if this section also means that my leg extensions are illegal too. ??
