It's DJI that need to understand this too....

Import Tax into UK from DJI Netherlands for repairs?

Couriers are charging retrospectively - give it a month or two and you'll have a bill from the courier for taxes paid by them on your behalf - probably at least £65, to cover their "admin" too.

To light or not to light (In the UK)? And some protection?

Yep, Firehouse ARC Vs are amazing. Easily 3km at night. Much less on a bright day - but still 1km. I have 2 on my Air 2 for this reason. I had the smaller strobon strobes on my mini 1, with about half the visibility of the ARC V. Imports from the USA are delayed by a couple of weeks - so...

Import Tax into UK from DJI Netherlands for repairs?

Looks like HMRC WILL charge an import tax. Possibly all fixes are now £60 more expensive. Presumably every Care Refresh claim is now basically £100 / £150 [emoji853] ------- Thank you for contacting DJI Support. Regarding the import tax, as of 1 January you may be charged of duties and taxes...

Import Tax into UK from DJI Netherlands for repairs?

Hi, Has anyone in the UK had a repair done by DJI (Netherlands) since Jan 1st 2021 & did you have to pay an import tax? (since leaving the EU) I'd guess customs would assume it's a ~£300 item, and make you pay £60 before it's delivered ? Any experience this year ?

New update to fly increases range?

Ok, signal strength isn't really important. Signal-to-noise is what's important - the ability to perceive the signal. It could be a signal processing controller fix that means that signal frames that would be discarded aren't, or that the signals are less likely to be corrupted. (passive...

Anyone ever use their ND256 filter?

Hmmmm - I wonder if the 256 is right for snowy mountain tops, or other sunny snow/dessert scenes? ?‍♂️ Maybe the ND256 is pretty much factory fitted in Saudi Arabia ? [emoji848]?

How can I charge a battery with a USB charging brick?

Wow, neat, but the conversion to a AC then back to DC it's going to be pretty inefficient :-( I'm actually surprised more of these kind of things don't exist though - it's a neat idea. Actually, thinking about it - any Computer interruptible power supply (UPS), will do this job !

    Wireless device calibration

Careful! RTH uses the AC compass, and that icon is the only thing telling you the compass is working - both on your phone and the drone. Dom

Scary issue,.. Anyone else having this happen?

Please please please Report this as a bug to DGI support, including the log as evidence ! Whenever it's doing is wrong - as a software/firmware engineer, following a bad code pathway, in any circumstance, is a major problem, or disaster prélude. That message "Home Point updated" could easily...

Found Mavic Air 2 in national park. What to do?

This is very cool - DJI hooking up the owner with the finder is great service, and doesn't break any privacy laws if both parties approve.

Is it normal to charge batteries and they are just 59%?

Best practice is to get in the habit of charging the evening/morning before use, not after use. Yes, it means you need to plan more, but if a battery has self discharged after 5 days, my experience is that battery isn't trustworthy until it's recharged. I nearly lost my MA2 (over water)...

    Stupid Mavic question...

Just stick tape over the ground (TAF) sensor. It'll report that it's too dark to land safely, but you can still fly. Or with the Air 2, use sport mode - that disables the sensors, and you can plow into the ground as fast as you like. (pretty sure sport mode disables the ground TAF too?) Of...

    New terrified pilot

Read the manual section on the INTELLIGENT batteries. After 24 hours, they will self-discharge to 95% (or 92% IRL...) after 5 days they will discharge to 60% (IIRC) - but even that *might be less* - in my experience, after the 5 day discharge, the battery doesn't really know it's charge...
