Is there anywhere on the RC that tells you the wind speed? I don't see any place for it. I know not to fly it in 20mph winds but I was wondering what your go-to way was to check wind?
EDIT: new question: Whar settings in UAVforecast matter much to you?
Hi all!
I am using my Mavic Pro to get some video of a relatively small Steel Playground. I know I shouldn't launch near it, but is there a rule of thumb on how many feet I should keep the drone away from the playground at all times? Maybe 15 feet minimum? How far away should I launch it from...
I can’t tell. I think it’s the mavic rotating. It rotates too slow for me to watch if the drone is turning or not. Neither should be doing it though. I feel like it’s the drone though because it turns quite a bit.
DJI reviewing flight records now.
Well here is another example I took after taking off from my front lawn on cardboard. This is a lot more extreme. Towards the end I lower it and or raise it and it immediately still starts turning to the right on its own in hover.
No, you can look at the left of the screen at the power lines for instance and see how they are moving to the right and more things are being added to the frame like the drone is slightly turning left.
Well again, the slow turn (appears to be either going left AND going right depending on the flight) isn't explained. Launched on grassy areas AND sidewalk. Here is a video of it. You can see it slightly turning while hovering:
I have been too scared to fly it to truly test it out. I just took it up to see if it started to turning thing.
Maybe I’ll take it to the bigger field soon to test in case it flies away. But I feel like it shouldn’t be doing this slow turn thing regardless.
Yes it turns at all heights. It seems to slowly turn a while but not sure if or when it stops.
I haven’t done anything to the VPS. What is that and how to turn off?
Ok this is all new language to me!
But why in the world would the drone be turning to the right slowly while hovering if I’m taking off In my front yard on top of cardboard (on top of grass)? Picture above.
