So, I fly a Mavic Pro and checked out the Hanatora charger. After digesting most of the posts i am still undecided. 1) Is the Mavic Pro battery considered hi-voltage lipo and able to handle the higher charge percentage? 2) If so will I get longer flight times, albeit less overall cycles? Thanks...
Please forward this to the dumb question department: if I use 50% battery climbing to 9000' and the battery dies on the descent, I assume the motors quit and the Mavic crashes?
I will update. I have always kept current with any software but with the constant pressure from the government I have been afraid ops would be limited.
Thanks for the replies. I fly new construction builds including interior shots and rarely have the collision sensors active as they interfere...
For a number of months my DJI smart controller tells me an update is available. As a PT107 user i am reluctant as I often check my airspace and sometimes fly other than 400’ and almost always toggle off the collision avoidance inside building shoots. I am concerned DJI will decide to limit my...
guess it depends on how large the space is... been tracking this construction for a year now and the drone has been awesome. Turned off collision avoidance as it makes flight erratic when you get close to beams, etc... not suggesting this but it will work if you are careful.
Bought the smart controller and it it so great to unzip the case unfold the Mavic 2 and take off. I had a dedicated Samsung Tab on my old one and even dedicated with a sunscreen it was no where near as bright or convenient to use. My vote if you can bear the hefty price = Smart Controller.
I must be missing part of the conversation..l.
d) The minimum distance of the small unmanned aircraft from clouds must be no less than:
(1) 500 feet below the cloud; and
(2) 2,000 feet horizontally from the cloud.“
I have used Litchi for a number of years. I am 107 certified and can't afford to have my UAS disappear into the wild blue either. But there are cases where having a precise, repeatable flight are desirable. We shoot a video of a construction site every week using Litchi and will eventually put...
My humble opinion is to study the FAA site material. Everything you need to know... As a pilot
since 1986 it seems clear to me the FAA wants you to know what airspace you are flying in to avoid incursions while flying 107. Before you shell out $150 for the CAT center fee, study the test questions.
While we are touching on 107 regs... I have other FAA certs including 107 and CFI. My CFI clearly shows an “expires on” date (every two years). My Pt 107 has no expiration date on the cert but apparently we now how to recert every two years.... I am supposing the regs are changing too fast to...
DJI makes the most bullet proof UAS around. (My most humble opinion) I have owned DJI since the early models with a GoPro in tow.
Read all you can, watch YouTube and go fly in a nice open area until you are comfortable. If you have never flown RC use a sim on your computer or go out to an open...
Not familiar with ND filters but want to learn... What should I look for as to specs? Live in Arizona, (we got sun), now and again an overcast cloudy day), and go north in the summer where the light is 'normal'.
Went to the TACO website and got totally confused with the choices. I guess if I don't know what to order I probably don't know enough to need them... But how do we learn if we don't ask? Let me know what you find out...
