UPDATE!!!!!!!!
I sat here getting mad about the problem........called DJI back. First thing the new tech asked was "did the other tech have you update your DJI Fly app? nope!!!!! updated it and now all is good!!!!!
Just spent a hour on the phone with DJI tech service without any fix!!!!! Now I'm dead in the water until they figure out what's wrong. They say it might take up to 10 days to get back to me.
I installed the update today on my MA2 and smart controller. Now I get a "unable to take off" message on the controller screen. Called DJI, spent almost an hour on the call with no fix!!!!
I just did the RID update on my Air 2. Now I cannot fly it!!!!! The update loaded fine. when I try to fly I get a message on the controller screen "unable to take off". Tap the message and the is an error code 30064. No idea what to do do now.
I have an Air 2 and a Smart Controller. The controller has only been paired with my Air 2. I keep getting update notifications for the mini 3, which I always respond "not now". Is it normal to received update notifications for a drone you do not have? Is there a way to stop those notifications?
So, besides being illegal. If I don't have the firmware updated after the cutoff date will my drone still fly? All of my flying is in a VERY rural area.
I have 3 batteries for my Air 2 that are original with the drone, over 2 years old. I think they are getting tired. Anyone have and good thing to say about refurbished batteries? Seems they are about 1/2 the price of new on Amazon.
I could not get the update to download and install...after 3 attempts I called DJI. they had no luck either. We had to finally go to the update center on their website and update with the use of a cable. The only difference I see is now I keep getting a message that there is an update...
