It seems to me the Fed is overstepping its authority. If I purchase a perfectly legal drone, I do not think the Fed can legally make it illegal, at my expense. Is there any precedent for this?

I would be interested in your camera settings, especially ISO. My night flight did not come out as nice as yours.

I did not see cause for all the praise. The drone had several near mishaps before the bus and was frequently not following accurately.

Until now I did not realize a strobe light was required for night flight. In looking for an approved light I see they come in several colors, and operate in Strobe, Flash, or Continuous. I cannot find a regulation that defines color requirement or the strobe, flash, continuous operation.

You may have hit on the problem. It is set on h.265. I may have changed that recently, I'm not sure. When I try to use Windows Media Player I get the message "you need a new codec" HEVC Video Extensions.

Since about July 21, 2021 my drone videos can no longer be played with Windows Media Player on my computer. Videos recorded before July 21 play fine with Windows Media Player. I can play the later videos with VLC. Did the video format change with a recent software update, or is this a...

Are you saying the drone can only record to Fat32 or exFat?

The Hanatora I bought is working fine. However it does indeed seem to be the same as the failed xmipsbs. Appears to be the same device sold under two different names. I guess the failure I had was a fluke, since all others report good results.

Thank for that advice Scoble08. I went ahead and ordered it from Amazon. The component that holds the batteries looks the same as the one that failed. So I am a little apprehensive, so I included a protection package as well. Again thanks
