Moral of the story !!!! learn to fly (and control your Drone) in Atti mode !!!! (its part of the RePL course here in Australia!) and it will hold you in good stead if this happens again !

I have what I call my "Risk" Drones!; if I am not comfortable putting up the Inspire 1 or Pro 2; will leave it to either my original Mavic Pro (still a great Drone and the image is still very good if you dumb down the sharpness); and my Phantom 4 Pro (picked it up for a great price !!)

I found that being patient and courteous with DJI was the best strategy and yielded the best result !

I have found signal enhancers (Mini, Pro 2) make quite a difference with better connectivity when flying in "risky" areas................

Funny how everyone seems to forget the Mavic Pro 2 can shoot 2.7k @ 60 fps !!!! (And the Phantom 4 shoots in 4k 60 also !!!!!)

Because you are in Oz you maybe able to get the parts you need from DVS in Victoria, they are authorized DJI specialists, Paul or Scott will hopefully be able to help you !

Good result C, whilst I did not have Refresh they have decided to replace my Drone ( Mini only as I still have everything else) with a 50% discount!

Why didn't you just land on the edge of the Marina????? (Very lucky you didn't hit a car!!!!!!)
