I turned it off and it still pans upward. Maybe this setting only works at initial startup?

I use the pan mode occasionally and notice that it releases the camera to pivot up past straight ahead. This can be a great thing for some shots but I was wondering if this can be reset in flight? I'm a bit concerned that If it is pointing up then I might be fooled thinking that I'm further...

I've been using that round fold up landing thing with the big "H" on it. Wife got it for me for Christmas. Looking at the ground many feet up the "H" sticks out like a sore thumb so I would expect that to be a good target...

Thanks for the heads up. Have not flown much with the mod but will check the precision landing. Never did figure out the precision landing. Probably half the time it lands dead on but the other half it is off by anywhere between 2 to 10 feet. It is worse if I check the precision landing...

Just downgraded from 1.04.0200 to 1.03.0700, then flashed with 1.04.0200 missing two modules. Have all the goodies of 1.04.0200 with the ability to change parameter limits like height...

And the fourth, use a vacuum chamber...

I think they are HW restricted as there is no barometer in the controller. But, you are right, they will "fix" stuff in FW updates. Their simple "fix" for those using the vacuum chamber is to set altitude after launch... I have a mountain nearby that I want to fly over but can't quite make it...

Has anyone compiled a list of FW versions vs features and fixes? Did a search and didn't see any. Thought it would be nice if someone was rolling back FW for some reason and know what they lost. What would be nice if the Mavic had a switch on it that would allow you to switch between several...

Yep, heard of that method but here in Oregon, especially where I am there is trees everywhere and nowhere to land higher in elevation.

I think you missed the point, fake out the Mavic to think it starts takeoff at -500m so you can fly to +500m (or a total of 1,000m above starting point).

You've got it backwards. If you start the Mavic under a slight vacuum and then remove the vacuum then the Mavic registers it's altitude as -500m, this give you the ability to fly 1,000m from your starting point.
